Story

She was exhausted. A day full of challenging lectures had completely drained her. Picking up her laptop bag and notebook, she made her way towards the bench outside the library, to meet her best friend for a quick cup of coffee. She grimaced when the cup touched her lips – the coffee was decidedly subpar. But, seeing her best friend for the first time that day more than made up for it. Her face lit up with a warm smile, when she saw him walk up to her, his silhouette bathed in the warm gold of the setting sun.

Around them, people were meeting their loved ones after a long day. The birds on the branches above them caught her attention, as they tweeted a blissful symphony. No matter how busy the day was, the birds still sang. They found solace in each other and their joy was contagious.
